    Color temperature - Kelvin

Monitors have (most often default) the color temperature set on 9300 Kelvin, for normal use this setting is just fine, but this setting is too cool (blue-ish) to work with digital images.

If you want a more natural look for your pictures you should use 6500 Kelvin, this is the temperature of the daylight, take some time to adjust to this warmer colors, after a while you don't want anything else.

See the manual of your monitor, look for the option Kevin or color temperature.
